Nicole Perlroth

Nicole Perlroth spent a decade as the lead cybersecurity correspondent for The New York Times. Her investigations rooted out nation-state cyberattacks on American businesses and critical infrastructure, earning her the prestigious “Best in Business” Award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. Her investigation into commercial spyware was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.

She is the author of The New York Times bestselling book “This Is How They Tell Me The World Ends,” about the global cyber arms race, which won the 2021 McKinsey and Financial Times’ “Business Book of the Year Award.”

Perlroth is an advisor to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the Council on Foreign Relations’ Cyber Task Force as well as a select handful of cybersecurity startups that are significantly moving the needle on digital threats.

Perlroth is a graduate of Princeton University (B.A.), Stanford University (M.A.) and the mother to a very active little boy.
